The name comes from the word ART plus three letters. The name is creative thought, but is it the machine so impressive as it’s name. We know, that the final version of the Volkswagen Arteon will debut on the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March. This information is confirmed by few: CNet, autoevolution, and others. Exterior and Interior
The new model comes with a lower hood. At the front there are six horizontal blades and headlamps. It has a frameless door glass. Overall Arteon is lower and it seems to be longer then the Volkswagen Passat model. Elegant lines flows into the mascular body, making the cars appearance agressive and wild. Thought, we could read, that it’s appearance is outdated and old, still, the company has great expectation when it comes to the US market.
The interior is spacious enough, and seems familiar. It reminds us a lot of the Passat. Passat is actually a very popular example, still the critics goes to the inside part. What is very interesting, the technological part what includes the Active Info Display digital dash. As we mentioned, headroom and legroom gaves enough space to the passengers, making the drive very comfortable and nice. Arteon is based on the electrification and comes on the MQB platform. Beside this they used a genuine wood for wraping. There is also a 9.0-inch touchscreen system. Safety system is also has been updated, what today has a key meaning during the buying.
Engine and Performance
The new Arteon is equipped with a three gas and four –cylinder engines with manual and DSG transmission. It is a front-wheel drive, and there is an option for all-wheel drive. As the CC the Arteon is also Passat based.
Volkswagen Arteon Release Date and Price
The 2018 Volkswagen Arteon should appear already in the late summer time on the US market ; This information is not official confirmed yet, and it is just a speculation at this moment. We are very curious what mark will get on the Geneva Motor Show, since we can not classified as a whole new concept. Much of details were borrowed from the predecessor. In one part that is logic, the car is partly based on that model. The price should move around $36,000 (acording to caranddriver).
