2021 Jeep Renegade comes next year slightly changed, although there are few deficiencies that they must have to change by now. Let be honest; people do not love the design of Renegade anymore. There are too many of squared and sharp sides, an old-fashioned grille and too small rounded lights.
On the other hand, the selling season in the past few years was not promising. We have expected changes as in design, as well in the engine that this model could have. The only that happened is a new engine, a smaller but stronger one, with few updates in design.
- The model is much more attractive than before, with recognizable details in the front end.
- There is a new engine in offer.
- The model will not change the appearance significantly.
- There are no changes in the design of the cabin.
Marked as the worst part of the previous models, the design of 2021 Jeep Renegade will surely be more attractive and modernized. There is an entirely new front bumper with redesigned LED front lights. Below them are broad plastic protection and decoration.
The rear end is more rounded and softened and contains plastic additions and rails on the roof in sports trims. It is hard to compare with Honda HR-V, but in some parts, mostly in the rear end, it could compete even with Mazda CX-3. The model has retained the recognizable rounded front lights.
Although the cabin in 2021 Jeep Renegade has not changed the appearance that much, it has undergone significant changes and upgrades in technology. There are great additions and options, like height and depth steering wheel adjustment, dual-zone digital air conditioning, partially coated leather seats.
Driver’s seat with height adjustment, rear parking camera, stability control (ESC), automatic pilot, electric rearview mirrors, power windows and locks on all doors, stop and start system, My Sky Electric Solar Ceiling, and 12V socket in the trunk. It is for sure that the cabin will be able to take more passengers, or at least offer larger space.
There are a lot of speculations about the engine in 2021 Jeep Renegade. The last year’s model had few attractive and accessible versions. There was a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder petrol unit with 180 horsepower. Unfortunately, this model buyers have described as too noisy and rough for city driving.
On the other hand, there was a smaller, but stronger, 1.3-liter four-cylinder petrol unit, a slightly smoother, but still too robust for city everyday usage. Maybe those two are the reason why the manufacturer has decided to change the offer. This time they will send a 1.8-liter petrol unit with 135 horsepower.
It is not that rough as the previous two and has excellent options for upgrading. Speaking about the update, Renegade could have a 2.0-liter petrol unit, too, in higher trims and only as an all-wheel driving system.
2021 Jeep Renegade Release Date and Price
Since the significant change this model had last year, 2021 Jeep Renegade will not significantly change the design and appearance. It is for sure that they will not change the layout or size of the cabin, so the model could be attractive to the new buyers.
A standard model will cost $18,600 and the price will not be much higher even with full equipment. However, there are clues that it could increase the amount up to $36,900 if the buyer decides to order a model with all additions.
