Although there are great models in SUV and crossover class of the cars, 2021 Honda Odyssey still aims to catch the particular types of buyers. Those are people who love large, boxy minivans, to put the whole family there and even have a place for the bags and fisherman’s equipment.
It is the reason why minivans will never die, and every new generation of cars has particular buyers. The new Odyssey, though, will not change much in design or cabin space. The only change that we expect is under the hood, which should get the new hybrid model.
- The model is attractive and modern, with few upgrades in design.
- There is a trustworthy engine under the hood with a hybrid option.
- There are no changes in design for a long time.
- The model has not changed in technology and infotainment system so far.
When it comes to the changes in design, 2021 Honda Odyssey should be the same as before, or at least similar to the old models. The manufacturer has decided to not risk too much in this field. They have made a model that will attract the same types of buyers, like families with small children.
You will see similarities with the models like Toyota Sienna and Kia Sedona, as before. Since the manufacturer still drives the model protected with the camouflage, we cannot be sure if there will be changes in design. It is visible that the front bumper will have adjustments in the grille and may be differences in the shapes of the lights.
The cabin in 2021 Honda Odyssey should not change from the last model, as the outside design, too. Looking at the previous year’s model cabin, the cabin this time should be large and impressively comfortable as before, with the small changes in the design of the seats and dashboard.
When it comes to technology, there are the same devices as before, with few updates in versions. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not shared photos of it, so we are not sure how it looks like this time.
There is one engine that repeats in all Odysseys so far, so 2021 Honda Odyssey will surely get the same, at least in one of the versions. It is a 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque.
A well-known strong petrol engine is already seen in Toyota Tacoma; a much larger truck so promises excellent efficiency. On the other hand, there are rumors that the new Odyssey should have a hybrid model, too.
It is 3.0-liter V6 that should come in combination with the electric battery. Keep in mind that nobody confirmed the existence of this model so far.
2021 Honda Odyssey Release Date and Price
We have not seen the design of the 2021 Honda Odyssey. The manufacturer has still kept it under the protection of test driving. However, the last redesign happened in 2018, so we do not expect changes so soon. It affects the price, which should be the same. As the base model costs around $31,000, the version with all equipment should pass the number of $43,000.
We do not know the final releasing date, but there are a lot of rumors that claim the same – it will be very soon. The competition works on their models, so they must not wait too much for the market. One is for sure; the minivan market will not die soon. Only last year, they have sold 100,000 units of Odyssey.
