The current situation with the Covid-19 has affected the case with the release of 2021 Dodge Durango, like many other things. The FCA has planned to produce this model before the summer this year, and everything has been prepared for the debuting. During that time, we were able to see many versions of the model. However, everything stopped when pandemic started, and engineers from the factory were at home.
They did not end with the production of the model during that time, though. Some of them have improved the model in their garages, planning changes, and possible upgrades that model will have when finally comes out. We can only predict some changes and expect that they will be as attractive and exciting as we have seen on spy photos before February of this year.
- The model has impressive design and size.
- There are high engines in offer.
- There are no changes in overall look for a long time.
- It is not for sure when and how the model will release.
The model should have significant upgrades in design. As we have seen on spy photos before quarantine, they have planned to offer extensive and imposing front end, large grille, and updated lights. When it comes to the rear end, it is similar to the previous one, with the longer back end and high new taillights.
We do not expect significant changes in the size of 2021 Dodge Durango from last year’s model. The cabin was full and beautiful before, so there should not be changes in that field, either. However, the manufacturer has updated the design, offering a wholly changed upholstery and novelties in detail.
On the other hand, there should be essential updates in technology. As far we know, they should include a new Uconnect infotainment system, controlled by the ten-inch touchscreen, and few updates in driving assistance technology.
2021 Dodge Durango Engine
The manufacturer had not said much about the model before pandemic started, so we expect that it will have the same models in the offer, or at least some of them. They could not go much further than models in class are, like Toyota Highlander.
Thus, it is expected that it will have the same base model as before, so 3.6-liter V6 is guaranteed. It is for sure that they will keep the same version in higher trims, too. For those reasons, we expect that it could be a 6.2-liter V8 Hemi-petrol model with few upgrades and changes. The strength of that model is around 707 horsepower.
2021 Dodge Durango Release Date and Price
The manufacturer had a hard job of introducing the model during the world pandemic. It is for sure that we will not see 2021 Dodge Durango before the summer, and it will not be live.
Since all programs have been canceled when pandemic started, the manufacturer has no many choices to show the model to the buyers. The only way will be an online event or streaming with a model at the same time all over the world.
When it comes to the factory, they will open on August 6, while the model should be released in October, maybe at the beginning of the month. It is everything we know so far. Do not expect significant changes in the price, though. We are sure that they will not go much higher than the previous model had, meaning around $45,000.
