2021 Dodge Charger should be a part of the significant changes that expects the whole range of these cars. Eagerly waiting changes in Challenger, Demon and Chrysler 300, we almost forgot that Charger has not been significantly changed for almost 20 years.
- The model will be significantly changed in design.
- There are great improvements in engines.
- There is no information about the price and final releasing date.
According to first spy photos and rumors, 2021 Dodge Charger will be a combination of the old-fashioned and traditional Charger that we could be able to see in the ’90s and maybe BMW Series-7 sedan. Luckily, Charger will finally have a completely new platform, for the first time after the first model has been released. It will not be changed in dimensions, but the design will be closer to Alfa Romeo Giulia since it is the new competitor.
Although there are no changes in length and width, the vast more uses of the aluminum and metallic sheet resulted in for 200-lbs lighter chassis. The car looks shorter, though, since both front and the rear end has visibly shorter dimensions and design. All of these features provide more strength and speed. The model could retain all those similarities with the models in Dodge class, but with a famous touch of luxury and sedan-like design of the bumpers, along with new details on the sides of the car.
The least changes from the last model 2021 Dodge Charger will have in the cabin. Expecting the same design of the cabin, we cannot say much about the possible changes in fabric or colors. The most likely it will retain the design of the sporty small car, with attractive details and quality materials in higher trims.
Great changes could be expected in technology, though. They have promised new FCA technology in this car, too. Some of them are Lane Departure Warning-Plus, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assistant with Stop, UConnect Infotainment system and 12-inch touchscreen with control buttons.
The significant changes are expected under the hood of 2021 Dodge Charger. The old 5.7-liter HEMI engine goes down in history, but the manufacturer has prepared two or possible three great replacement for it. The first one is the 7.0-liter V8 HEMI “Banshee” model. Along with that model, there could be 6.2-liter SRT HEMI “HELLCAT” V8, well known to everybody who loved Dodge cars that literally celebrated some versions of Dodge cars.
Finally, there could be found completely new GME-T6 engine, as a special version of turbo inline-6 cylinder engine which should be 3.0-liter petrol version. All engines will be matched with eight-speed automatic transmission.
2021 Dodge Charger Release Date and Price
The old Chargers had the very acceptable price of around $30,000 for the base model. Although the new model could be slightly more expensive, it is not expected that the price will kill the last chances of the 2021 Dodge Charger to be more competitive with the models in the class. However, we will not see Charger before the end of the year, or even before the middle of the next year and even then it will be made only in one factory in the world – Brampton Assembly Plant, Ontario.
