Since the manufacturer has prepared large redesign for the last year model, 2020 Toyota RAV4 comes as almost unchanged from that version. The reason for the redesign is obvious, so many new models have been shown up in the past few years, including a redesign of the models in the same class. On the other hand, Toyota follows their plan to produce changed and improved models in every five years, so RAV4 came into the line for this redesign.
- The car has a new design
- The engine is strong but efficient
- There is not many improvements in the cabin
- The design could be better
As we said, there is no much change in the shape and design of the car from the last year model, so 2020 Toyota RAV4 brings only a few details improved. However, buyers knew this model to wide and rounded front end, gridded trapezoidal grille and wide squared LED lights, and that will not be changed. They obviously made models to be more competitive with the same class in other factories, like Honda CR-V or Ford Escape. That proves rounded rear end, fulfilled with unique sharp curved lines on it and thin spoiler on the rear window. The car has soft edges, but also many lines and holes as a decoration.
Will interior have some changes?
There are no much changes inside of 2020 Toyota RAV4 either. There is the same shape and design of the cabin with almost the same devices and equipment and great design of the dashboard. Made to be wide and approachable, the dashboard has numerous buttons and commands below the touchscreen and modern air vents. The black upholstery fulfills decoration in chrome and leather on the seats in higher trims. The high-technology includes Entune 3.0 audio system with 7-inch touchscreen and SiriusXM.
What’s under the hood?
The base model of 2020 Toyota RAV4 should be equipped with a 2.0-liter petrol unit paired with the eight-speed automatic transmission. For those who worry for the environment, there is a four-cylinder Toyota Hybrid II engine in higher trim, too. This is matched with CVT automatic transmission as a better option. However, both engines come paired with a great safety system. It includes Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 version with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high-beam headlights, lane-tracing assist, and a road-sign assist.
2020 Toyota RAV4 Release Date and Price
2020 Toyota RAV4 will be on the market very late, maybe at the end of 2019. We actually still waiting for the last year model, which is, to be honest, still not released due to large redesign it has undergone. However, the price should be around $25,000 for the base model, at least around this number knowing that this year model will have many changes.
