Known as the only all-electric SUV in the market, the Model X has been ruling the market of electrified vehicles for some time. However, although Tesla hasn’t officially confirmed anything, we have got the information that the new Model X could hit the market as a 2020 Tesla Model X model. The last update on this eco-friendly and efficient crossover was seen in 2018 when it brought some serious changes and improvements.
- the only all-electric long-range crossover,
- a 17.0-inch touch-screen,
- standard all-wheel drive.
- not everyone might like its falcon doors.
As we have already mentioned, Tesla Model X has been known as the only all-electric crossover in the market. When it hits the market, the 2020 Model X should keep that futuristic look that attracts everyone’s attention wherever you go, especially its Falcon wing doors. Since the changes and improvements haven’t been confirmed yet, this crossover might keep riding on the same platform shared with its cousin Tesla Model S. In fact, it borrows lots of styling cues from this vehicle. The new Model X should also enhance its air suspension system. When it comes to exterior features, the fans will probably find its V-shaped hood without a grille and its LED lighting system. Looking at the side profile, its falcon doors will get most of the attention, but you will also notice its heated and power-adjustable mirrors. The Model X should stand on 20-inch alloy wheels.
The interior of the 2020 Tesla Model X will probably still be offering two seating configurations – two rows of seats for five passengers and three rows of seats for seven passengers. The front seats will be heated and power-adjustable while in those range-topping versions it won’t be the case with the front seats only. It will also offer more cargo space than its relative Model S. The cabin inside the new Model X will show some modern, simple and luxurious design. The carmaker will use leather, wood and other high-quality materials. Probably the most favorite part will be its 17.0-inch touch-screen media system that will provide navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, satellite radio, a nine-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connection, USB ports and others. Some of those safety systems and driver assist features that should be expected include airbags, blind-spot monitoring, a rearview camera and automatic emergency braking. The new Model X will also be equipped with auto pilot system.
The 2020 Tesla Model X will probably keep its three versions. The first, found in a base model, has been known as 75D which gets a 75 kWh battery pack and a range of 238 miles. It also delivers the output of 518 horsepower. The other 100D uses a 100 kWh battery pack and provides a 295 mile range. The P100D version of Tesla Model X comes with the same battery pack, but a range reduced to 289 miles. However, it produces 680 horsepower and 791 pound-feet of torque. The all-wheel drive comes as standard.
2020 Tesla Model X Release Date and Price
The release date of the 2020 Tesla Model X has definitely been a mystery at the moment. However, its price won’t start under $85,000 for the base model, that’s for sure.
