2020 Nissan Silvia S16 is actually a big comeback for the very popular and attractive model, withdrawn from the market back in 2002. There are no many changes in this model from the last model, but the manufacturer makes it more competitive with the other cars in the sporty class. The new platform, weight distribution, and the improved engine should be good enough for this model in the future.
- Silvia has a sporty and very attractive design.
- The car is faster thanks to better weight distribution with the same sporty engine as on competition.
- The design is still not much innovative for the sporty class.
- Besides the attractive design, the cabin is not equipped as competition.
The design of the 2020 Nissan Silvia S16 is contained of the S13, S14, and S15 model, with modernized details on the ends. The model is made on the same platform as Nissan 370Z Nismo, with attractive details. Some fans recognized similarities with the Infinity Q60, but also with the Mercedes AMG class. However, the manufacturer made a platform with 50:50 weight distributions, making it much faster and easily driven. There is recognizable long front end with a wide mesh grille and thin lights, in combination with the short rear end and few curves on the trunk door.
The cabin in 2020 Nissan Silvia S16 is actually nothing special when we compare it with the competition. Being a classical sporty 2+2 car, it does not offer much space, and with the sporty seats and maybe too tight space in front of them, it could be even uncomfortable. However, there is very attractive brown leather on the seats and wide dashboard, with interesting details, and we hope that the manufacturer will make those edges softener in the final version.
There are high chances that 2020 Nissan Silvia S16 remains the same engine as on previous models, meaning 2.0-liter four-in-line turbo model. With predicted 300 horsepower of strength and 300 pound-feet of torque, Silvia should be even better than sports cars with the same engine model, like Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, Alfa Romeo Giulia, or Jaguar F-Type. Thanks to the special six-speed dual-clutch transmission and limited split differential as well as new weight distribution it is even faster. Silvia is again rear wheel vehicle as older models.
2020 Nissan Silvia S16 Release Date and Price
2020 Nissan Silvia S16 is surely competitive among sports cars, but the price of $35,000 surely helps, too. With its performances and the price, Silvia is in the middle of the range, which also means that Nissan could offer a classical but smaller Z-range sporty car in the future. Even though the manufacturer has not clearly said when the new Silvia will be on the market, we are sure that it will be very soon, maybe at beginning of 2019, or even at the end of this year in some countries.
