2020 Nissan Frontier comes to fulfill all customers’ demands, as in term of safety, as well in term of driving on all terrains. This time it is redesigned and changed in order to be more attractive, while the engine provides more strength and better performances.
- Frontier struggles with all types of terrains, adjusting to all types of driving.
- The cabin is wider and bigger now, especially in front seats.
- The engine is not that strong as on competition.
- The design is not fully improved, remaining old and recognizable parts.
2020 Nissan Frontier is made to be as attractive as functional, slightly redesigned but with many familiar and recognizable details from different Nissan models. The front end is obviously redesigned, made of the three-bar chromatic grille and new lights, but soften than before for more aerodynamic. Below them are wide air intake and small rounded fog lights with metallic protection on the bottom. The rear end is flat and includes redesigned rear lights with recognizable logo in the middle.
Maybe the best news when it comes to the 2020 Nissan Frontier interior is the size of the cabin, which provides much more space in front end now. There are the same leathered comfortable seats as before and improved equipment. The manufacturer has made an effort to provide better safety system, so it now has rear camera, airbags, stability control system, navigation system, traction control system, assertive roll avoidance, and hill start assistance. For passenger’s entertainment, there are such things as the six-speaker audio system, USB ports, Bluetooth and 8-inch screen for commands and information.
There are many speculations about the engine that will be included in the 2020 Nissan Frontier and all of them mention a diesel engine with different strength and torque. It is for sure that they will improve their diesel version from 2014. There are speculations that new engine in the base model could be 2.8-liter turbo diesel made in Cummins that produces 200 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. It is still slightly weaker diesel engine that Duramax made for Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, even though the size is the same. This engine comes paired with the eight-speed automatic transmission, already seen in Ram EcoDiesel 1500. However, European buyers should be satisfied with the improved 2.3-liter turbo diesel engine, which will also replace the current 2.5-liter version in Mexico. This engine should get a six-speed manual and seven-speed automatic transmission.
