The fans of large luxurious SUVs have been really pleased with the arrival of last Lincoln Navigator. However, the recent rumors and speculations made them feel impatient to see what this prestigious brand is planning to do next. Reportedly, the new Navigator might be on its way to hit the market as a 2020 Lincoln Navigator model.
- classy exterior,
- luxurious interior with
- lots of space, more power.
- no V8 available,
- still not confirmed.
The fans are probably wondering what major changes and improvements this luxurious carmaker should bring for the year 2020 in order to stay competitive in the market of upscale SUVs. Also, the exterior design of the Navigator has been quite fresh since the last update was seen in 2018. Apparently, the upcoming full-size three-row SUV will have to be even more appealing and attractive to its faithful buyers than the predecessor. When it comes to changes and innovations, the new Navigator will probably still ride on the same platform shared with Ford Expedition. The carmaker is also expected to improve its suspension system and overall off-road performance, but if you are looking for an off-roader, it’s better to choose its rival Land Rover Range Rover. Its towing capacity is also expected to be increased and to remain competitive with 2020 Cadillac Escalade. The new Navigator will be available in several trim levels, with the top end probably being the Black Label once again.
With all that luxury outside, you shouldn’t expect anything less when it comes to interior of the 2020 Lincoln Navigator. Its cabin will definitely be more luxurious than the one found in its rival Range Rover. It will also provide lots of space for you and your passengers thanks to three rows of seats. Also, you should expect that the new Navigator will offer a huge cargo space as it has been the case with the Escalade, definitely more than the Mercedes GLC-Class. Lincoln should also use some premium quality materials inside such as leather and wood. Besides comfort, other updates can be expected in terms of technology where this SUV will provide a heads up display, large digital instrument cluster and probably a 10.0-inch infotainment touch-screen. Some of the latest high-tech inventions such as Apple Car Play, Android Auto and wireless charging will be waiting for you.
The outgoing Lincoln Navigator has been offering a 3.5-liter V6 that delivers the output of 450 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. It has been paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. The 2020 Navigator might keep that engine choice, but it is expected to be more powerful than most of its rivals. However, once again, it probably won’t include the V8 choice found in its competitor Escalade.
