Although the Legacy model was quite recently updated for the year 2018, we have got the information that Subaru has been preparing another redesign that is about to hit the market as a 2019 Subaru Legacy GT model. We have to admit that the fans shouldn’t expect anything revolutionary to happen here, but some minor updates and refreshments will still take place.
- front and rear fascia,
- got some quite fresh look
- same engine,
- big price
When it comes to exterior of the 2019 Subaru Legacy, this model is going to hit the market as a four-door sedan that will remain mostly the same as its predecessor. As we have already mentioned, there have been some recent changes and improvements in terms of its exterior design, so the company will not make any drastic visual steps. The 2018 model has already reworked its front and rear fascia and got some quite fresh look. For those who are waiting for a complete makeover, we should say that it might happen in 2020. However, the 2019 Legacy could lose a few pounds since the carmaker will use some lightweight materials in its chassis construction. Besides that, the new Legacy will keep the same dimensions as its predecessor. The 2019 refreshments include a restyled chrome grille and a redesigned set of LED headlamps and fog lights in the front. In the back part of the vehicle, you will notice its reworked bumper, new pair of LED taillights and dual exhaust. The new Legacy will probably stand on stylish 18-inch alloy wheels.
The 2019 Subaru Legacy will keep its spacious and modern interior and you shouldn’t hope for any radical changes in here as well. Subaru might only make some minor updates when it comes to materials so you can expect fine leather and wood in higher trim levels. Besides materials, high-tech features could also come upgraded. There will probably be the same 6.5-inch touch-screen display with the Star Link infotainment system and options such as navigation system, climate control, air-conditioning, Bluetooth, USB and others. Safety systems and driver assist features will be improved as well. Some of them include seatbelts, airbags, a rearview camera, traction control, stability control, lane-departure warning and anti-lock braking system.
Things also won’t change under the hood of the 2019 Subaru Legacy. This model will come with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 175 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. The optional 3.6-liter six-cylinder with its 256 horsepower and 246 pound-feet of torque will be available as well. Both of them will be mated to a CVT and get an all-wheel drive system.
