This article will actually be a denying of the title, since 2019 Subaru BRZ Turbo is actually not planned to be produced, at least not in next couple of years. As many fans asked when they can see a new version and generation of Subaru BRZ, since the last model has been made 2013, people from Car Buzz made an interview with Todd Hill, Subaru’s Car Line Planner for America, and a man who can give the right answer on those questions. He was not optimist about new BRZ Turbo at all, claiming that new Subaru simply cannot be as the old one, and all changes will increase the price and size of the car, changing the concept this manufacturer actually had with this model.
While the old version of Subaru BRZ is pretty much perfect, with all needed performances and features, the new version that 2019 Subaru BRZ Turbo means simply would be changed. Current Subaru BRZ has a recognizable wide front end, with a rhomboidal mesh grille and very low bumper. The rear end is slightly higher positioned, making the shape and design of the car perfect for fast speeds, but also allowing the special rounded shape of the truck with a highly positioned spoiler on the top of the truck door. This design is made for “Boxer” four-cylinder engine and any change in shape of the car will change the driving performance. As the matter of fact, changing the engine strength leads to heavier construction, which, again, changes the speed and performances. So, for now, there are no changes in this field even if 2019 Subaru BRZ Turbo is planned. He was not an optimist about AWD version of the current car either. As he said, 2013 version has perfectly combined weight distribution and gravity heights, which will be changed and ruined with AWD version of the car.
As we said, the 2013 version of Subaru BRZ has perfectly combined weight and engine strength, so making of the stronger engine will change all of these features. But, as Todd Hill said, if you are really loved in speed and performances, there is a limited version of this model called 2017 Performance Pack for Limited Models that includes stronger engine but also Brembo brakes, special stability control and for 0.5-inches wider wheelbase. That is the closest option to 2019 Subaru BRZ Turbo we know for.
2019 Subaru BRZ Turbo Release Date and Price
Speaking of this limited version, the price of $28,000 for the base model is only for $1,500 higher for Performance Pack, and all additions and equipment are better than on Toyota 86, for example. So, even though 2019 Subaru BRZ Turbo is actually never planned, there are many replacements for that car.
