It was interesting to read a description of the 2018 Porsche 911 GTS read by a journalist Scott Evans, written after the first test drive for journalists in Virginia City Hillclimb route. Not only that he described how the car behaves during fast and serious driving, but also shared his impression about the transmission and engine, which are precious for the new and fast sporty car as Porsche 911. However, he was not able to spend more time with the car, try to drive it on different roads and consider breaks and safety system, thus he noticed that sitting as a passenger in this car was a great experience, thanks to stability system and suspensions.
Journalists have not spent much time in describing of the 2018 Porsche 911 GTS exterior, so there is no much information about it. Only we have are photos made on this test driving. It is an impressive strong machine, with the recognizable front end, wide trapezoidal mesh grille and rounded front lights, possibly in LED technology, because nothing less is acceptable for a car like this. It also has additions on rear bumpers, so the car has popular chubby shape, always interesting on a sporty car. Removable roof and the rounded rear end is also a part of the perfect design of this car, with the improved rear end and big sing and logo of the manufacturer over the rear end.
As the Scott Evans noticed, 2018 Porsche 911 GTS has perfectly positioned steering wheel, maybe too robust and large for a sporty car, but more precise that is needed. It is interesting that dashboard and steering wheel look maybe too simple for a car like this, but on the other hands, there are no distracting decoration and buttons which represent excess on the perfect sporty car like this. There are a simple button layout and touchscreen in the middle. Although these types of cars are not made for comfort and long driving, this is acceptable wide with well-shaped seats.
There is acceptable highest speed and acceleration time which, however, was not a subject of Scott Evans article. He pointed at great suspensions built in new 2018 Porsche 911 GTS, which includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and sports suspension. Together with that are Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and Sports Chrono package and special made Pirelli P Zero tires, with perfect performances. It is also important to say that this Porsche has a manual transmission, which is not usual in a sporty car.
