2018 Land Rover Evoque is a part of new crossover’s family made in Land Rover, together with Land Rover Discovery Sport. This family will be called Ingenium and both will come with four-in-line engines under the hood. Evoque is smaller crossover than Discovery Sport and we can say that is one of the smallest crossovers on the market. Even though they had strong Ford’s engines by now, the manufacturer concludes that those are lazy and heavy for small cars as they are. Whatever it be, Evoque has undergone significant changes, not only in design but in equipment which will follow the best models in the class. As we concerned, it could attract even the most demanded buyers.
The chassis and exterior look is maybe the most changed component in 2018 Land Rover Evoque, becoming more interesting and attractive than before. Even though it is the smallest model in the market, it still has great details as many larger models. The front end has recognizable mesh grille with LED front lights incorporated under the hood line and wide air intake below it together with two wide air intakes on the sides of the grille. The rear end has a classic crossover-like rounded truck, with thin rear lights and spoiler on the top of the rear windows. As the higher part of the car, the rear end has also wider plastic protection on the bottom and wide two exhausts on the sides of the bumper. Having larger 20-inch wheels, this car gets better visibility on the road and stability in driving.
We are not sure which equipment will come in 2018 Land Rover Evoque, even the manufacturer has promised the best in class. We expect comfort cabin and quality materials, too.
The engine is maybe the most interesting changes, as it is now 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol unit, with 240 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. It includes direct-fuel injection, but also a twin-scroll turbocharged and integrated exhaust manifold. The transmission should be eight-speed one, but in the higher version, it could be the nine-speed automatic transmission, too.
2018 Land Rover Evoque
Even though the 2018 Land Rover Evoque is almost on the market and waits for releasing, the manufacturer has not announced when it will exactly be. There are high chances that manufacturer will prepare all versions of both models, Evoque and Discovery Sport, together with equipment and different seat option and then offer to the buyers. That could be at the end of 2018.
