According to the information we have got, it seems that Cadillac is planning to keep the XTS model on the market and as they say, it will be suitable for their traditional customers. The new 2018 Cadillac XTS will stay there until 2020 and then be replaced. This vehicle is specific since it will be the only one using the older Epsilon II platform and we are sure that the true lovers of this model are familiar with the meaning of that.
When we talk about exterior features, we can say that this time, the design of 2018 XTS will be a perfect combination of sophisticated and sporty elements. The new four-door sedan will not undergo significant bodywork changes. The long body, door mirrors and overhangs will probably be kept standard while the new grille and the headlights may be fitted. Some would compare the new XTS to the CT6 when looking upfront, but the new model will have smaller proportions. The LED lights and panoramic roof window will give the XTS a certain touch of luxury.
The cabin of the 2018 XTS can be seen as comfortable and luxurious. The front seats will be adjustable and have many options. The high-quality materials are also expected inside. In terms of high-tech features, it will include an 8.0-inch touch screen on the dashboard, with the Cadillac’s infotainment system. An interesting innovation might be the entertainment offered to the rear seat passengers, probably in the form of DVD. The other tech options include surround sound audio system, Apple Car Play, Android Auto and many more. The safety features will also be on the highest level and include the safety seat alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, front and rear automatic braking, blind zone alert etc.
2018 Cadillac XTS’s Engine
As we have been informed, the new 2018 Cadillac XTS will have more powerful engine than the current model. It has been said that this model will come with either a 3.6-litre V6 with the power of 310 hp or a 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6 engine with the power of 410hp. When it comes to transmission, it has been rumored that the turbocharged V6 version might finally come with the nine-speed automatic transmission but this has not been confirmed. What we know is that the new XTS will be offered with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The release date of the 2018 Cadillac XTS has not been confirmed yet, but it will hopefully start production during 2017 and appear later in showrooms as a 2018 model. The expected price is around $75,000.
