The new Insignia is based on a new platform, what gives more space and aerodynamics with a Cd figure of 0.26. The refreshed version of the car comes as a lighter than the previous. The roof is lower, but also wider. The wheelbase is also longer. When it comes to the design, you can read on www.carscoops.com that the Opel wanted to bring much more elements of the Monza concept. The new design gives a longer and wider look that it is. Beside this, the new Insignia is much more safer, and comfortable as well. It is equipped with an Intellilux LED matrix lighting Head Up Display, AGR-certified premium seats etc. The seats are foldable, with massage functions. Inside of the cabin, the infotainment system got a new refreshed style, and they have chosen the finest quality material. Engine and Performance

There is no official information yet about the powertrain. It will have probably a turbocharged engine mated with a new eight-speed gearbox. It has the all-wheel drive system. The FlexRide chassis give the opportunity for three driving modes: Standard, Sport and Tour. It also has an interesting Drive Mode Control what can adapt the car to the driving style, until it is analyzing the datas.

After debuting on the Geneva Motor Show, from some rumors it should appear in the middle of the 2017 year on the US market. As for the price, there is no official information yet, although last year’s model was priced at $22,100. It is real to increase the price, but for the Insignia customers that is not so significant.
